Memories

Last night some of former my co-workers and I had a reunion!  Let me just say, I love each of them!  I forgot how good we really had it when I worked there.  Of course, we had our bad days, but the good days were amazing! In fact Julie shared her favorite memory of all time!

Julie: You know my favorite memory?
Erin: Budget meeting?
Everyone: Laughed, and looked at Jim.
Julie: It was a really tough year and we had to do budget cuts.  Jim walks in with 4 glasses of purple Kool Aid, and we all toasted!
Everyone: Laughed hysterically.

For those of you that do not know the purple Kool Aid reference--it dates back to Jim Jones and a mass-suicide.  I know, I know it is a little morbid---but who wouldn't love to work with people where you can make a sick joke and all get it?

One more...

I have one more trip and then my wings are clipped for a long while!  As excited as I am about the upcoming trip to NYC/CT I am tired of flying--and if Jet Blue pulls a stunt like American Airlines did on Friday, I might completely lose my cool.  We are looking forward to flying Jet Blue, it's our first time--and it is suppose to be an amazing company!  I will keep you posted.

With that wish out in the universe let's spend a moment talking about AA.  They delayed my flight, they pulled the tags off our 'valet' bags, and moved our gates at least four times.  With that said, I am not impressed with your company, or your customer service.

Could I do more?

I woke up this morning jumped out of bed and flew to Target.  Every year for Earth Day they give away free recyclable bags to the first 'so many' customers.  Of course I couldn't miss it!  


Then, we came home and cleaned like crazy.  (My mom is spending the night.)  We leave for our vacation in the morning.  I made lunch.  Then that dreaded 5-7 page paper I was procrastinating for the past week--yea, I just finished it.  


Now, I need to pack.  Then off to church to volunteer and back home to entertain my mom before we leave.   


I am not sure where my nap time went but I am going to see if I can capture a few ZZZZ's before church.

School Update

I have one week left of this semester...two papers due...and I DO NOT WANT TO WRITE THEM!  I have been procrastinating for over a week on these assignments and now they are due in a few days. If I could just write them it would be over and I wouldn't have anything else to do for a few weeks.  Where is my motivation.  CC is completely annoyed, even as I lay here writing my blog a conversation goes like this: 


Erin: Hand me that laptop.
CC: Why?
Erin: I have homework.


A few minutes pass--I am on facebook, blog, and email.


CC: That's not homework.
Erin: Shut up.
CC: How much homework do you have?
Erin:  Two papers.


CC: Oooo-I love free HBO week. 
Erin: What's showing?


I am a lost cause!

Do you remember my "Crunchy" friend?  Well, I am envious of her...she is a much better "Green" person than me. She makes her own deodorant! Yes, I know it seems pretty cool, I am going to have to have to do it too.  Here are the directions if you think it is something you should consider---because you should!

Dreams

In a recent post, you heard about a girl that is tired.  Now, there is a girl in my house that has dreams.  It has been about 3 years since I have had dreams...now I am back dreaming...I just wish they were not nightmares. :)


I am sure it will all workout--stressing about an upcoming trip and  travel arrangements.

Let's Talk about this Girl I Know...

There is a girl in my house that is tired! I am talking TIRED!  CC and I carpool now-a-days, on Friday when I picked him up I passed out in the passenger seat until we got home.  When I walked through the door I crawled into bed until 8 PM.


Sunday, this girl... slept until noon and then...took a nap.  She was late to church. Normally, this is not big thing but it was my week to volunteer.  Ooops.  


CC is trying to be supportive but secretly he is annoyed. I know it. But he is being such a good sport...the house was spotless while I slept.  I just love him!
